Color Studies
Color studies are small paintings that explore color combinations for future larger paintings done in studio.
Plein air paintings are painted live in nature in the tradition of Monet's impressionism. Some are completed onsite. Some paintings start in nature but they are completed later in the studio.
Some plein air paintings are color studies for future studio paintings.
